Well, we are not really one to think you can’t wear whatever you want, whenever you want! But Thanksgiving is rich and earthy to us, so we embrace those colors of the season. So anything neon or super summery can feel out of place. Hot pink, lime green, or bright turquoise scream “beach vacation,” not “pass the stuffing.” We love the switch to the fall pallet, so hunter green, maroon, pumpkin, & decadent browns do it for us!
We love us some color season! I’m a summer season with a neutral undertone, so generally softer colors look better on me. General rule of thumb is if you have warm undertones, go for golden shades, deep oranges, rust, and olive, with gold jewelry. Cool undertones? Try cranberry, plum, navy, or emerald with silver jewelry. Neutral undertones like me? Most fall shades will work, just make sure the color doesn’t wash you out in photos. What color do I think is the sleeper of the season? Navy blue.
