Chappell Roan is a 10 year in the making, overnight success.
She exploded onto the scene in the past year with her powerhouse vocals, but she had already created a huge fanbase within the gay community and it was their adoption of Pink Pony Club that ended up making it mainstream. This was our first exposure to Chappell Roan, and we wandered around the house belting out PINK PONY CLUB for days on end.
She mixes her obvious vocal talent with avant-garde and theatrical looks that often steal the show. She’s all about unleashing your inner child, dressing up with joy, and honoring the wildest parts of yourself. Her debut album, Fall of a Midwest Princess, was a Midwest roots fairytale that skyrocketed her into superstardom.
Her many looks are already the stuff of legend, and it is hard to decide which one is Chappell’s most iconic look. One thing is for certain, she gives plenty of outfit inspiration for costumes to wear to your next Halloween party.

There are just a few things that are essential to pulling off a Chappell Roan costume. So these essentials apply to all the featured looks below.
Of course, its that head full of curly red hair. If you aren’t lucky enough to naturally have the glorious mane of red curls that is quintessential Chappell, we have a wig for that.
The other essential element, at least for her concert and appearances, is the make up! It may always be different, but it is always over the top and makes a statement!

On the brink of superstardom, the Coachella fits are amazing! Her heart cut-out dress being is not just a personal fave, but it will likely go down as a specific style moment & one of the best looks ever. You can’t go wrong this this as a costume – instantly recognizable.

As much as I love the heart cut out look, I also loved her pleated belted skirt dress! This one is so adorable and sexy. I wasn’t able to find this exact dress to buy, but I did find the pieces to re-create the look.

I know there are a couple of versions of the feather dress but this one seems like an easy one to put together, so its perfect for Halloween or a costume party. Add the wig, shoes, mike and a little inner Sabrina attitude and you are set!

You can go with basically any color – she wore every color of the rainbow – but I am showing the red lingerie-inspired set with garters and that iconic red lip print tattoo on her inner thigh. Hot AF.
If you’re not ready to strut around in public wearing lingerie, wrap yourself in a towel like she does mid-show. It totally works! Take it off when you get to your party, or not. Up to you.

You might already have these in your closet, and we love using our own stuff for our costumes. Add in the wig and a mic and you will have one of the great looks of the night.

Here are some pieces I found on Amazon that would give off the same vibes. Use the rhinestone boots or the white boots featured above in Sabrina Essentials, and put a rhinestone heart on the side to give off the same feel as her Juno boots.
