Spring Crafts – Scrapbook or Junk Journal Page by Dragon of Mayhem Crafters
Dragon loves gardens. More specifically, he loves to spend time in gardens. Not so much a gardener himself because, you know, claws. But he does love to lounge in a gorgeous, sunny garden surrounded with beautiful flowers, & read a good book, or listen to music. Considering he was able to go and appreciate the famous artist making the original statue of David when it was initially created, he likes to use images of it in his scrapbook layouts.

Statue of David (History Nerd Moment)
We can’t resist a nerdy history moment, so if you don’t love this part, jump down to the scrapbook prompts!
The Statue of David refers to a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created by the Italian artist Michelangelo. The statue depicts the biblical hero David, who famously defeated the giant Goliath with a single stone. Michelangelo sculpted the statue between 1501 and 1504, and it is considered one of the greatest achievements in the history of art.
The Statue of David is renowned for its exceptional attention to detail, anatomical accuracy, fine motor skills, and the expression of strength and concentration on David’s face. It was originally commissioned as one of a series of statues representing prophets to be positioned along the roofline of the Florence Cathedral. However, due to its exceptional quality, it was instead placed in the public square, Piazza della Signoria, in Florence, Italy.
The original Statue of David is now housed in the Accademia Gallery in Florence, while a replica stands in the original outdoor location in Piazza della Signoria. The statue is celebrated for its cultural and artistic significance and is considered an iconic symbol of Renaissance art.
It is also very nekkid, so to keep this blog rated G like PBS kids, we have chosen select pictures to feature!!
